Afterhours pipes are the way to go if you want a very aggressive sounding car.

UPDATE
Took a few rough pics of the car yesterday.
Love, love, love the car. Def needs a better sounding exhaust. Also I took off the front plate, and saw that the dealer had murdered the bumper by drilling not two, but four holes into it. Ugh! I'm thinking I might put the plate back on because I think 4 bumper plugs won't look very good either.
Also not sure I like the all red tail lights. $800 option from porsche LOL. Might be interested in swapping with another owner.
I'm thinking the mods to come asap are: exhaust (thinking Afterhours), short shifter, wheel spacers, tint, clear bra, and V1 hardwire to start...
Anyway, happy to realize a dream....

Interesting points and opinions on the all red taillights. I didn't even know this was an option and never paid one bit of attention to this detail. However, after looking at the stock versus the option, have to agree with the OP and say I'm not a fan.

So here are pics of my car's rear and another one I found that is identical but with the standard lights.
I think the all red lights can look good on black cars, but on silver or grey cars, I think the clear tailights look better... kinda like clear side marker lights.

The red lights were quite popular towards the end of the 997.1 run . I'm not sure if they were released in late 07 or early 08 but I think either look great. I never swaped out my standard lights but I did consider it . i actually like it more on a silver or meteor car . Even looks nice on a white car with the red brakes and belts .
800 bucks is just about right . aren't those Porsche options high priced . You car looks great !! I'm glad you got it and are enjoying it.

Congrats on finding a beauty! Make sure you check out Cargraphic as well for your exhaust -- if you're in the OC area, go see the folks at Stuttgart Performance (board sponsor) and they'll take care of you!
Oh and if you really don't like the red tails, let's talk... happy to discuss a swap, as I think they'd look killer on my Midnight Blue S.
