Fabspeed Bypass Pipes Dyno

Has anyone here performed a dyno on their 997 with the Fabspeed bypass pipes with no other modifications? Really want to see the results. Also if they have an intake that would be interesting to see. I am considering trying it out but don't want to lose power. Don't mind the sound, had the setup on my 996 and never bothered me as I only drive the car once or twice a week. Thanks.

On a Porsche there is very very little power to be had from an exhaust system (1-5hp). The stock mufflers are already pretty un-restrictive. Power gains come from changing out the Cats and Headers. So, my advice is to get an exhaust that you enjoy the sound of.

Thanks for the reply Jason. I am not looking for a power increase, just curious if the setup will have a loss of power. I have read some different threads, so just wanted to see if anyone had a dyno, etc...

Cats add power, but an integrated, well put together system is the best answer. Bypass pipes reduce weight (a lot vs. OEM mufflers) so that matters. In terms of other considerations, headers and bypass pipes can change the torque curve. Good headers can bring on torque earlier (at lower RPM's). Bypass pipes have the repution of doing the reverse, causing a loss of low-end torque. You'd have to see the dynos, etc. though.

For everyday street driving by-pass pipes are not the way to go. At lower RPM's they do not sound good, loss of low end torque 2000-4000rpm for example and they drone inside the car so forget the stereo and cell phone.

Even the by-pass pipes I have on my 2009 to remove the 2 side mufflers leaving me with just the center muffler are a bit much for everyday street driving...but...I enjoy the lighter rear and hopefully more power at 5000+rpm at the track so right now I live with it.
