Would you trade your 997S for a 996TT or even 996 GT2?

Would you trade your 997S for a 996TT or even 996 GT2?

when i was buying my 997S, the dealer had a 996 GT2 also in silver they were selling. the GT2 was a little more money and i took a good look at it before i bought my 997S. i just couldnt get over the dated looks especially the interior.

given the opertunity, would you guys consider a 996tt or GT2 over your car?

i would have been thinking the same thing but i asked to see the GT2.

i opened the drivers door and couldnt stomach the looks of the interior. other than performance, i dont see any advantage of the gt2 over a 997.

The interior was one of the reasons I sold my 996TT. Looking back on it, it is certainly a bit dated but not as bad as I thought when I sold it. In hindsight, I shouldn't have sold it for what I got after that (C6 Z06, 335i, E60M5) but I do like my 997S better than the 996TT. The performance of the 996GT2 cannot be denied but at the end of the day, it still has the "fried egg" headlights and the "dated" interior compared to the 997.....really dated compared to this that Larry posted today.

Holy **** this is nice

Did you drive it? Like you, I find the 996 interior a bit challenging, but the performance of the GT2 made it much easier for me to stomach it. Since I made the decision on the 997 S though, there's no reason for me to revisit it.

I think that I'll keep my 997S for a long while. I love it because it is NA, 6sp, RWD, and it's the most well-rounded sports car for anything under the price of a 2010 GT3. Also, it's not going to kill me, and I love it for that too....

i didnt drive it because though it looked lower and more compact than the stock 997S, there was still no comparing it to the beautiful lines of the 997. lower a 997 with some aggressive wheels and you blow the gt2 away completely.

No. These are very different cars. You drive on the street most of the time and have all you really need.
