Headlight lense problems and halogen vs Xenon

I purchased a used 2005 997-S a few months ago. It has ever so slight damage to the headlights.(This happened to my Mercedes as well). It is almost unnoticeable, but bothers me. Porsche won’t cover that under CPO. (BTW I’ve also found out CPO doesn’t cover many things you would expect like wiring)

As opposed to getting them sanded down and polished, I started looking into just buying a used set ,but now I’m confused. I know my low beams are Xenon and the high beam is Halogen, but the sticker for my car lists “H7 Projector Headlights (Halogen)” with no mention of Xenon. Why would that be?

Is deterioration of the plastic lenses on the headlight a common Porsche problem?
Can the lens be replaced separately from the headlight assembly?
Can someone explain the different lights Porsche used on the 997 over the years?
I found this headlight assembly on e-bay. It actually looks different than mine. (Probably the high beam part) can someone comment on this. Will I be able to transfer over my ballast?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...Q5fAccessories
