Removed the Carrera S and added a "911" Badge...

Does anyone have the part number for a silver 911 badge?
My dealer found the anniversary badge in silver but that was $325.

911 Chrome or Silver OR the 40th anniversary with the underscore (above)? Which do you think is better?

Sorry for the poor Ipone pics. I think it looks pretty clean. I ordered the badge in black thinking it would be pretty stealth looking but in actuality you couldn't really see it over the black paint. So I just painted the badge myself with spray paint (yes spray paint) several layers and it came out really nice. I have no idea if it will chip off right away or not. If it does I will just order the chrome one. Either way it is a pretty nice little athletic mod for $35 dollars. I always loved the 996 Anniversary Car. QUESTION: Should I add the "S" or keep it as is? Does anyone have any suggestions for double sided tape so I can re apply the original OEM "S" properly? ![Big Grin](https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

You guys have me convinced to make the change - to the 911 (black or titanium) with a red 'S'. I'm going with one of our sponsors (BumperPlugs). I hear they're good people, and don't deal in platinum- or unobtanium- priced products. Any info re the specific color you folks used on the red 'S'? To match the calipers? The tail lights? Guardsman?

Simple trick to speed it up for you guys.
Before you take the old emblem off, perfectly line up painters tape above and below the emblem so when you mount the new one it is perfectly level.

Eric at Bumper plugs specializes in painting. Mind as well get him to paint the letters for you if you're buying it from him.
I tried to match mine to the calipers, but being that they are so far apart I don't think it matters.
Clearcoat certainly is nice, but most touch-up paint are glossy enough as is. Just put on multiple coats to get that glossy look.
