Could you elaborate on what specific modifications were required?

utkinpol,
I had to cut the factory plastic mounting bracket to clear the new speaker. No metal was cut.

Thanks - it is exactly what I wanted to hear. I was afraid Porsche made something customly weird with metal harnesses, So any other brand speaker of same dimensions should fit in fine. Good to know, thanks!

Beautiful car! I love the alcantara dash. If you don't mind me asking, what did that piece of the project cost? I'm considering it for my new ride.

I pulled the dash off myself which I think would be most of the labor costs. I dropped it off at my upholstery shop and he charged me $500. Unfortunately he is out of business. I need to find another shop to do some other small pieces.

I was pretty tough. Pretty much everything touching the dash had to come off. It took me about two hours which includes finding all the hidden screws. If you can get access to the service manuals it is a great help. It shows you step by step.

Do you know by any chance what is the maximum mounting depth for rear sides loudspeakers?

From what I remember there is plenty of room. Factory size is a 4" and a tweeter. I did not use these locations in my install.

I see.
I currently under sticker shock on my project prototype parts list - totaled at $3,339.91 for parts:

2 sets of Focal K2 Power 100KRS
2 of Focal Utopia 13WS
Eclipse XA4200
Alpine PXE-H650

Now I need to find inner peace with myself before I can order all this and start process of my car destruction.
