Just seeking a bit of clarification, do you have a 997.1 with Fabspeed Maxflow mufflers and a new Fabspeed 200 cell crossover system? How does it sound compared to Maxflow mufflers alone? Do you have a video?
Thanks
Thanks
As I run now on Fabspeed xpipe and mufflers now - they are sufficiently loud, believe me. Loud enough to make guys in Corvettes to turn heads.
Bypassing mufflers with 200 cats will almost completely eliminate back pressure and I think it is not what stock engine was designed for, but, well, it will be hellishly loud if you will like that. Removing stock cats makes car significantly louder so if you heard any aftermarket mufflers only on stock cats - it does not make it justice.
As I listened to it while working on it - x-pipe cats alone do sound as real track car sounds with no cats and direct pipes out, it is not civil at all and it is unlikely anyone can drive like it as you`ll not be able to have a conversation in a car. And I believe muffler bypass pipes will not reduce that roar at all. Fabspeed mufflers on other side do work perfectly - you get bass, and do not get much roar until 2.5K RPM. Then it is civil and you have to raise a voice just a little bit with closed windows inside at 3K RPM with engine under average load.

I did not try to put fabspeed mufflers on stock cats - it would require more work and i was tired. I did put xpipe cats first and could not put stock mufflers on them because cats would have be cut for that, so i simply ordered fabspeed mufflers.
I do not think you should worry about too aggressive sound, fabspeed entire package sounds good actually. just make sure clamps are tight and there are no leaks there - it adds up a lot of noise and roar actually.

on the 997.2 I know by passing all 3 mufflers is loudest...but between deleting just the Center Muffler, or deleting just the 2 outter mufflers what sounds best/loudest? center muffler bypass with stock side mufflers or side muffler bypass with stock center muffler???
