Smile New front bumper on a 06 997.

I own a 2006 Guards Red C2. Would like to do some updates.

I have already done a exhaust MOD - Gundo Hack on C2S exhaust.

Now I am thinking of replacing my front bumper to give the car a slightly newer look. Can some body suggest a brand that would be good to go with, such as speedart, or Vorsteiner V-GT , techart etc.. and is it a good idea or not to begin with.

some examples below.

Thats a good suggestion. I did see some pics. Like it. Only concern is will it make the front very low. As this is my daily driver.

GT3 front but than again, I'm a little biased. It is a little low. In this pic, I've actually dropped my car an additional 15mm so it is even lower. If this was my DD, I think you'd be ok with the GT3 front if you don't lower your car.

I've recently added the Cargraphic front grills as well but don't have any of those pics up yet. If you do the GT3 front bumper, I'd highly recommend you do the grills at the same time as you have to pull the bumper off anyhow to install the grills.

Brand?

Yeah Porsche! All those bumpers you are looking at will be as low or lower....

Best thing, the front lips bend very well and are easily replaced....

+1. I'm biased as well but the GT3 bumper looks great, is one of the few with a (relatively) low-priced replacement splitter, the part is widely available, and with the car modestly lowered, it's pretty safe from scraping. And yea, put on the screens when you get the GT3 bumper. And, while you're doing the bumper and screens, do the third radiator too.

I think a GT-3 front end matches well with the 997 overall look. It's also OEM and the fit is perfect. No molding or modifications to make it fit.

Hamman...be different...

Let's see if i can sway some of the gt3 front end suggestions to consider another........ although have to say my second choice is the GT3 although not a fan of the plastic none color matched bottom section on the gt3's... I went with Hamman as IMO it best relfects the old school 993 gt3 front bumper with the curled sides... gotta like the old school cars to make the connection...now if some wheel company would just get of their **** and make some resto mod like looking 19's Fuch's....

Mick,

Fuch will be making 19" "replica" of their infamous wheels for the 997 in lieu of the 997 Classic Sports debut in Europe. Can't wait!

is this a joke????????

please tell me your serious... I may have to get a car to go with the Fuchs rather then Fuchs to go on my car.... something like this: 356 wide body replica, painted matte flat black and sporting some Fuchs would be a fun little toy for jaunts around town...parts of the below car i am not a huge fan of but done (modded) right think could be a sweat retro-mod...

OK back on topic, sorry OP for the thread high jack...
