Comparable Vehicles To The 997 Carrera S Cab

Wouldn't the Exige be a harsh ride for a DD? The used R8 sounds like a good idea as well.

I believe the California runs around $200,000 which is more than I am looking to spend on my daily driver. Wanted to stay under $90,000 or so. I was looking at pre-owned Gallardo's and 360's however, good ones are still tough to be had at that price and maintenance is always a concern. Also looked at Aston Martin however, wasn't too impressed with the vehicle. So far the most appealing has been the CLK63 BS.

I have looked at the R8, haven't found any less than 100k. Not sure how I feel about the Exige S 260, not into the looks much and interior is not appealing - same how I felt about the Viper interior. I have seen quite a few 360's in the 80-95k range, however, maintenance is a concern as a daily driver. I only drive about 6,000 miles a year, as my office is very close to where I live. Not really worried about parking it or the attention.

Best of luck on your hunt.

Back to the M6 cab. Incredible power.
To really mix it up would be the right Aston Martin. Best lines around. Maybe not the best all around car, but it is just beautiful to look at and might be a hoot to own for a while. I would really question DD'ing a Ferrari or Lambo. The R8's still seem well north of $100k.

I feel that the Aston Martin Vantage is underpowered. I have taken a look at the Aston Martin DB9, but not sure. Have heard a lot of mixed reviews about the DB9. Power wise I think the Porsche is still on top.

The Roission is another interesting one. It's fundamentally fabulous and each of the parts are capable of being a DD. But put together I've heard that they need a lot of finishing work before the car is consumer-ready.
The R8 won't be a $90K car for at least two more years. And it, like the F360 and the Lambo draw too big a crowd for a DD. Some may like that level of attention but even if you do, it would be a pain on a daily basis.
Re the Exige, harshness is in the eye (well, the butt) of the beholder I guess. It's also a function of where you live and the quality of the roads in your area. Here in the Bay Area, most roads are not too bad. The southwest has great roads, the northeast and midwest are really harsh. I happen to like the sparse/metal interior. It's a down market version of the Scuderia my buddy just bought. It's italiano-racer-metallica. Oh, and many many alcanterrior's died for that F-thing.

Funny. No one seems to be able to come up with a good alternative to a C2S cab. No wonder, I find it hard to understand how they can be considered boring. Maybe you should keep it. Can you describe it? (color, options).
