Antisway bars..

Hi folks

I've been searching for anti-sway bars for my 08 carrera s. The biggest I have found is the 24 mm H&R bars (rear). Does anyone know of other manufacturers, and a comparison of which bars are the best (bigger diameter, adjustable)?

Just put Tarett Engineering 26.8 mm 5-way adjustable on front with extended link set up and 997 99GT2 rear 3-way adjustable bars on - awesome. Search Tarett Engineering.

Thanks for the quick answer. What is the diameter of the GT2 sway bar?

I believe it is 24 mm. Combined with the Tarett front handling improvement is substantial. See Tarett 997 page. If you do your shocks also, get the extended links - I went with items 1,2 & 3 - front sway, extended links (I also did Motons), rear sway & links. Front 1 from full stiff, rear mid setting.

I have H&R F&R Bars with Bilstein Damptronics, car handles very well. I set them at a neutral setting. I doubt that you would need anything more.

Sorry for the temporary hijack/detour but how hard it is to change the setting on the bars? I have the H&R bars and would like to move them one bolt setting. Is it under tension when it's on the ground? How about when it's on jack stands? (i.e. is it a simple bolt pull and move or does some compression device have to be used?). Just don't remember from when I put them in.
BTW, for the OP, I don't know about the Tarett (though they make great products) but the GMG bars have a wider range of settings than the H&R. Had I known that when I purchased mine, I might have chosen them.

I have heard that the easiest way to change the setting is to keep the wheels under load. Jack the car up and slowly lower the wheels on to some jack stands. This will give you enough room to work under the car.

Thanks. Oh, and does anyone have the torque setting for the sway bar/drop link bolt?
