Evo 997 V-Flow CAI

I see Suncoast sells those now for $350 - closeout.

Would it be worth it? I kinda spent enough already on other (meaningless ) stuff, spending extra $350 just out of curiosity does not really fit well.

I see some folks here do use it, so, I am mostly concerned about amount of dirt this filtration system allows to go in compared to regular stock airbox with oiled air filter.
Does it worth it, then, for $350, or heck with it?

I say, "heck with it". I think the stock system is pretty darn good as it is, and the dyno numbers are not real time street numbers, IMO. Even if there were a 20 HP improvement to the wheel (Doubtful), will you really feel it? I don't know. I can't.

Great price.
I think it's worth it. Adds a bit of sound, too. Nothing to worry about in terms of the filter, it's safe. This is a very simple DIY, so no money for install other than a rubber cap to put over the end of the vacuum solenoid.

Agree with Cattman. The EVOMS intake is one of the best bang for the buck mods IMO. Relatively simple to install, adds an aggressive sound, and in theory, adds a few HP. You could do a lot worse spending $350 on these cars.

I have one too, it sounds good, looks cool, and $350 is cheap.

If you want one that is really nice, buy a X51 intake!

Yeah I say do it with the understanding that you might not be getting any extra HP but you will be getting a nice sound! Also, it will allow the engine to breath better in the higher revs and you will probably notice a little bit more "peppyness" to the engine over 4K RPM.

I agree it is supposed to be nice for $1.5K.

I have difficult time trying to understand how this relatively small cone shaped filter can provide better air flow than current oiled K&N filter which surface is much larger and material quite similar to this cone shaped EVO.

Plus my hunger for car modding a bit receded after exhaust project so now I am not biting every new item my eyes see out there. Wanna sell me yours EVO CAI for, hmm, say, $150?

It's a nice piece for the car and very reasonably priced IMO. The Evoms intake is well made and a great value.
I paid a lot more for my F77 carbon box which has a similar type of idea to it. I just liked the artistic appeal of a carbon airbox . I don't have pictures of it but look at how cool my Werks 1 looks in my Turbo. I have never placed carbon on my interior but my vents and airbox are carbon.
