Bluetooth
so here's a head scratcher....
picked up my 09 997.2 C2S, and despite having NOT ordered bluetooth, the PCM bluetooth function is able to search and identify devices functions intermittently.
occasionally, i'm able to locate my iphone (but not consistently), and after it fails to pair, it isn't able to locate the device again, displaying "no compatible devices found"... i haven't tried it with other phones, so not sure if it's the iphone or infact i the bluetooth option is absent...
any experience with this? is this just the basic bluetooth function on the PCM and requires additional prep work for full functionality? or have i lucked out and bluetooth has been included?
has anyone been able to pair an iphone to the PCM on a 997.2?

It looks like that the OP found a bug in the non-BT-enabled PCM that intermittently enables BT pairing. I doubt that it will work reliably without the bluetooth enabling or a hack.

I've seen a post similar to this before.
You didn't order bluetooth, but did you get a phone option at all?
The reason I ask is that the in-car handset option for the in-care phone prep is no longer wired but uses bluetooth to talk to the PCM. So my suspicion is that every PCM3 comes with a basic bluetooth functionality, though any higher level functionality would only happen if you purchased the right options and those were turned on via an activation code.
