Doorsills: SS, carbon, illuminated?
#16
Wow, nice results, thanks for sharing, as scratches on the SS were one of my concerns, as they are on the Carbon.
While I am not in general a fan of the aesthetics of Carbon Fiber, I really like the contrast of the dark of it against the light of the illumination. Although, I suppose under lighting conditions under which the illumination is visible, there would be enough contrast against the SS, too.

A clear bra also works well, although, it too can become scuffed. The better installers can also buff scuffs out of clear bras. If I chose Carbon, I'd have a clear bra installed for sure. I'd have to see a sample over SS before I made a choice there.

The other day (black friday special) I bought a set of illuminated stainless steel "Carrera 4S" sills from my Porsche dealer. I paid $450.00. My dealer will be installing them as it is a big process. Porsche does not prewire for these. So it's not a simple "clip in a harness" and your done.

Even so, it's one of the few options that reward you on a daily basis!

And I did not see it for sale nowhere yet.

Blinking door sill lights
I do not see a blink. The lights are just "on".

Could be a sticky door plunger? I had this on a past car and the light would be delayed by a second after door opening. Dealer sorted it out somehow in the end.
