How To Uninstall The Rear Seat Backs?

Hey everyone, I am thinking of taking the Rear Seats off. I know a lot of people have already done it, and I want to loose a few pounds off the car. There was a thread about the DIY for uninstalling the rear seat backs, but I can't find it...

Does anyone have a link, or any instructions for DIY?

Thanks!

It is very easy actually - I did it while trying to fit my kid car seat better but had to put it back for better support. For left rear seat back - look at lower left corner you`ll see black plastic cover on that joint - pull it down and you`ll see a bolt. Undo that bolt and release left corner (slide it down or up), then carefully (but forcefully) slide right side away from its header rod - pull left side toward you and entire seat back slides to the left. you`ll figure it out. It seems at first like it does not go at all and and have no space to go but it does go just fine.

They aren`t that heavy and car looks ugly without them, not sure it is a bright idea to remove them unless you plan to put a cage or bar behind driver seat.

I just took the Rear Seats out completely... But the Rod in the middle is still there since I couldn't take it out...
