Please educate on clear bra

clear bra vs. repaint? clear bra wins in my book, especially for resale value. if the new buyer doesn't like the clear bra, it's removable with no damage to the paint (might be good to have an experienced clear bra installer do this). if you decide to remove "old" and damaged clear bra... wala! you have fresh untouched, OEM paint (which you can re-film to protect again!).
that said, use a good experienced installer, especially if doing a "custom" job that minimizes seams and edges, because you don't want cuts in your paint. i had mine done with premier in fremont, covering the entire front end plus a few extras (mirrors, sides, rear bottom). if cost for a custom job is too steep, consider a "pre-cut" kit for a lower price... imho, the protection is worth it.

oh, and... on the topic of looks and scratches etc... for a good custom job with the right film/installer, you shouldn't notice it at all (unless you search for the film at certain edges, etc.). when my car was in for service, guys at sonnen porsche suggested i should consider a clear bra to protect my car since my paint was so good... i said, i already have one!
on scratches and scruffs, many can be buffed/polished away and some detailers and installers know how to use heat guns and certain clear film cleaner/waxes/polishes to properly do this.

RyeM3, can you tell me more about your install? I cannot PM yet
Can you tell me what it cost on your car, who did it, and if it's stood the test of time? Would you recommend them? I am picking up a Metor C2s Cab and had this on my lotus, I really don't think I want to be without it.
Thanks
