My Car is on Its Way Home

My car is in an Intercitylines truck this evening. Estimated delivery day is October 13 when I fly from NY to LA to receive it. More pictures when I see the car in person. I wish a safe trip to Mr. Harrison.

Of course, I will have to deal with the registration in the state of Kalifornia but once my car arrives, it is all good.

Thanks to Carol from Roger Jobs who responded to my first e-mail with a very aggresive offer after which we quickly converged on a transaction price.

Thanks. I am hoping to get used to the lobsters. If not, the first mods will be the wheels. But I know the car is already amazing for me.

6MT with LSD and a few other options. I should include those in my signature.

Thanks everyone.

Those look like Sport Wheels, not Lobsters - unless that's not your car in transport photos.

That is my car, LOL.

I do not mean the five-spoke lobster claws, but maybe the Carribbean spiny lobster. You see, I had my eyes set on the new Carrera S IIs, and it will take me a while to get used to the Sports.

I am sure that once I receive the car, I will start to like them more.

I think those wheels - see motosport3's avatar - were/are called lobster [fork] because of the two-pronged spoke looking similar to:

Yep, my wheels (Carrera S wheels, lightest of all OEM) are what are what people have termed the Lobster forks. I really started off loving the Carrera Sport wheels (widest OEM wheel) and then ended up liking the Carrera Classics more.

The Carrera S II wheels have grown on me too.

Lobsters and Classics are my favs - trying to resist doing one or the other while I hold out for the new SC Fuchs - if they will ever sell those.

My car came with S II wheels and I had them swapped at delivery - I like them on some cars, especially cabs, but somehow they didn't work for me on my car.
