trembling when accelerating

I was driving my car in rain today.

I accelerated quickly in 1st gear and car vibrated so badly.
Definitely, there was hesitation in accelerating in 1st gear and my car was trembling as if there was something wrong with the throttle. There was no warning lights at all. My car seemed normal with any other gears except 1st.

Can anyboday tell me what is wrong with my car?

maybe the stability program kicking in when you are on a wet road and applying too much power? Does it do it in all gears or when the ground is dry?

Sounds like you experienced wheel hop. When this happens the suspension starts vibrating a lot as the tires struggle to get traction. If you are driving with the traction control on in the rain you shouldn't have an issue with it as the power will be cut when the tires start to lose their grip.

Thanks for comments.
Like what you guys mentioned, maybe it was because of traction issue on wet road.
I might need to replace my rear tires since they are almost worn out.
Anyways, I will try it again tomorrow on dry ground.
Again, thank you

It is wheel hop. Porsches are famous for this. Before traction control was invented, other powerful cars would simply spin their wheels but Porsches ( due to better traction and perhaps suspension design) would experience wheel hop when launhed from a dead stop.
