How much for reman 997 S engine
#16
A quick search on google will list a # of places where you can either get your engine rebuilt or buy one; all, I'm sure, would be substantially cheaper than a Porsche "reman" - just need to carefully check out their warranty and reputation of course.

just from common sense perspective - if you ever get into unfortunate situation to get new engine for your car - you will want it to have original Porsche warranty after you get it and not something else from 'other shop'.

I received a quote back in May from Ryan at Suncoast.
For the 05 C2S engine $14,869.34 and for the x51 $15,819.51 not including shipping.
If the core is accepted by Porsche then you would be looking at $5000.00 back.

Also, interesting question is - does Porsche (or dealers) have any requirements on core acceptance with you buying new replacement engine from them?
