Excitement personified in metal, leather and glass.
I am now a proud member of an automotive cult that own a PORSCHE. Just got a brand new 997.2 C4S. She is probably one of the few remaining well optioned '09 C4S's still available in the lots on the west coast. Got her for 14% of MSRP but trust me it become a moot point minutes thereafter as she is clearly priceless. Within minutes after starting the ignition, it was quite clear that to own her was one of the best decisions that I've made in my life, second only to my choice of life partner, my ever loving and supportive wife. When I drove her even the highway patrol gave me a thumbs up. The two hour drive back home was an ultimate motoring pilgrimage.
First impressions: I was amazed in the auto mode (with the PDK) at how smooth and instant the shifts are. Although it is automatic it seems to be just in the gear that I would have selected in the manual. Even if you are unlikely to use launch control, please go with the sports chrono package. It is totally worth it just for the two buttons on the dash namely the sport and sport plus mode. It gives an entirely new meaning to the word sporty...a pure anesthetic effect. PORSCHE..there is no substitute.
Here is the first picture of my baby bathed in GT silver taken while the sunlight was fast fading.

Checking a statistical summary, the "TrueAverage" price paid by buyers in our area was a little over 111k before T&L&fees. The dealer cost after their incentives and holdbacks and what have you was $104,600 and the invoice is $105,900. So the price dealers are offering to guarantee for Zag buyers is only $1,500 over their cost.
Hope all that helps. I've never used Zag arrangements before, but I found it helpful to have a guaranteed price to use as a talking point even when I ended up wanting a car slightly different than the one I had spec'd. When I came home from buying a used 2009 yesterday, out of curiosity I ran the Zag price for a couple of others I had been offered in the same dealer. The dealer's opening offer hadn't been more than a few hundred above Zag, and of course I'd not have paid his opening offer.
For what it's worth, as I say.

I didn't see this post before my last one about sales price statistics, but it sounds to me like you got a very good price. I suspect those little nice touches like distinctive stitches are things you'll come to love, but they looked to the dealer like items he can't get much return from. Not at their MSRP I mean. Did you confirm someone's hunch that a car loaded with beauty items like yours was originally a special order whose buyer backed out?
