Pics of New Pedals

Attached are some pics of my new pedal covers. Bot them on Ebay for $90 total. They are really nice quality aluminum with a rubber pad on the back that comes through the aluminum holes. Nice "Porsche" engraving also. Installing was tough. You need to do the brake pedal first (thanks to others on this site that suggested that). Drill the bottom hole first on the brake, slightly offset to the left and as low as possible. Getting my big fingers behind the brake pedal to put on the washer and the nut was very tricky. Used a mirror to help me. I also used Loctite thread lock on the threads to make sure they don't loosen over time (you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot). Note, the brake pedal and clutch have covers that need to come off...they are rubber tabbed covers. Weird that the clutch pedal is plastic...would have thought Porsche would have made that metal...hmmm. Anyway, do the brake first. I then used double face tape to position the clutch cover. Got it exactly level and straight to the brake, then I drilled. Careful, the pedal is plastic. The dead pedal and gas were easy and plastic also...hmmm.. Used double face tape again to get exact position, then drilled a "small" pilot hole. These use a wood screw with no nut...so careful not to strip the plastic when screwing in. And that's it. Took me about 1.5 hours to get them really straight. Note, the new steering wheel with directions is on a previous post of mine.

Nice pedals! I was just looking at those the other day on ebay. Do they facilitate heel-toe? What's your impression?

Those look nice.
I just ordered these, on sale from AWE for $129. Top quality is AWE's business, so I look forward to installing them.

One question: not sure which way the break and clutch pedals are supposed to go. I think maybe you've got them reversed? I'd love to know before I install mine. Here's a pic from AWE, attached.

Those pedals really look nice. My concern and input from others was that when your shoes are wet that your feet will slip on the rubber nubs that come through the pedals. I bought a set from Ultimate Pedals that have no rubber nubs but a serrated aluminum surface and put them on my 6 MT modded A6. I've had them for 3+ years now and the work great. Just another option to consider.

I spoke with AWE, and they said to install them like the install pic, so all is well. Mine should arrive in a few days, and I'll report on any shoe slippage issues.

The pedals look great but I have one question. Does the dead pedal fully cover the factory piece ? I can't tell from the pic but the shape of all of the add-on dead pedals I've seen on line doesn't appear to be the same as the stock piece and am wondering if it fully covers the original dead pedal.
