i have a 06 c4s that i bought brand new -- it only has 12k miles on it -- and tonite i realized my clutch is going -- wtf?

i don't drive this car hard -- i obviously don't drive it often

has anyone heard of needing a clutch replaced at 12k miles on a lightly driven 6 speed

could it just be an adjustment?

how much is a new clutch?

help....

 

mostly highway miles for me - just checked my pads today and they are still beefy at 33k miles. I don't brake much...use the engine.
