997 TPC Racing Turbo Kit... Coming very soon! :p

Aznevovii - I think it may have been your car we drove. There were 2 997's in the shop for the turbo, one of them which previously had a supercharger (that was on the lift) and then the other that I drove - I presume that's yours. Interesting that all 3 cars looked identical which I'll presume is indicative of our good taste!
I didn't take any pics but Casey indicated he would be taking many pictures of the process.
I am considering another option, the sway bars and possibly springs. I've had this done on my BMW coupe and it made a big difference in handling. When we took a test drive with both my car and the turboed car at all out speeds on winding roads, the cars pitched and floated more than I'd prefer which of course added to the terror!
For the folks in Boston, when I get the car back we'll surely get together for a beer to show the goods.

The ONLY way to measure boost accurately is from a location after the throttlebody. Any measurement before the throttle is irrelevant and will always be higher than the boost levels actually getting into the engine. The farther you are from the compressor, the less boost you will have.

We try not to give out all of our secrets as there are other shops out there developing other options...
This is also why you cant use another intake plenum with our system... unless you want us to put holes in it.

Then you DO in fact measure boost after the throttlebody. Why didn't you simply state that. It's no secret that this is the only way to make accurate measurements. Why did you first tell us you did not?

When I see that your system will provide better performance than my current SC setup does.
Looks like a good system, tho, but there is no benefit to switching for me.

There is no reason to upgrade the brakes regardless of how much power you add to a car. If they are good with 100 hp, they will be just as good and stop you just as fast with 1000 hp. Whether you get to 100 mph in 10 seconds or 5 seconds, the brakes will stop the car exactly the same.
Thank you !!

Before installing your SC, your car took a specific amount of time to stop from 100 mph. What changed after you installed the SC? Your car still takes the same aount of time to stop. There is no need to change to different brakes unless the weight of what the brakes are stopping, changes. Besides heat, the weakess link that effects your stopping ability is your tires. If your ABS kicks in when slamming on the brakes, the braking system is more than sufficient, since they have already stopped your wheels from turning.
I would ask whoever told you you need better brakes to explain why.

Obviously, bigger brakes can be of benefit due to better heat dissipation duing tracking or extrememely aggressive street driving, but that has nothing to do with whether or not your car is supercharged.

I wouldnt say that you wasted money... If you plan on driving the car differently, like driving 150mph rather than 75mph and stopping quicker and more often the upgrade is warranted... Porsche makes really great brakes to begin with and traditionally a pad and fluid upgrade are sufficient.
Like 1999 said, if you are going to drive the car the exact same way before and after the upgrade, switching to an uber system isnt entirely necessary.
