I thought about that and installed the Motorsports flux capacitor.

I was just about to order one from US Mill Works as it's made from metal and looks solid in their install video.

So it sounds as if JCS is the way to go?

I had the jcs unit but have since switched to the redline. It's better. Way more solid. The jcs is plastic.

I couldn't find the "Redline" one you are talking about. I found one from "Rennline" for $125. It looks solid but I'm not sure how the ball joint style mounting point will hold up at high speed on the track.

I would like to hear some more feedback comparing the JCS vs Rennline vs US Mill Works.

Gominigo.com solid metal mount. Inexpensive and I've used it for several years with good results.

I've had a US Mill Works on my C2s since I got it this summer. Its a nice solid unit (its fully supports the plate), and it does include quite a bit of hardware with it, including extra long screws if you have a plate frame to mount. Installation isn't too bad (there are no picture instructions if you need that sort of thing), but there are quite a few bits and bobs for something that seems so simple. The big thing is that it has a swivel on it so you can adjust the angle of the plate to make everything look square which is nice. One downside is that I suggest keeping the included hex key in the car, since in order to remove it to install a tow hook you have to almost completely disassemble it.

Oh also note: I've found there's enough room behind the plate when its mounted to wash that area of the bumper without removing the unit.

Probably wouldn't plan on using it at the track but sometimes we stop at Spring Mountain on the way to Vegas and if I inadvertently left it on, I would like to know it would hold up. The tow hitch mount option is definitely convenient and saves from unnecessary holes in the front bumper
