have you cleaned you radiator ducts?

I was washing the car this weekend and I noticed a leaf in the radiator duct. When I reached in to pull it out I noticed a whole lot more.

Leaves, stones, a plastic straw, a chunk of plastic, rubber marbles from the track and sand.

Seems like a recipe for rust or decreased radiator performance. You might want to clean yours out.

Harvey in MD is infamous around these parts
I use a plastic pipe connected to my shop vac to reach all the way into the corners. I did away with the small grey connector on the pipe.

If you don't do this as maintenance you will have to remove the bumper to remove the junk to stop the car from over heating.

Yep, it's a part of regular upkeep to suck the "Scheiße" out on a regular basis. Add some mesh and avoid all the leaves, cigarette butts, gravel, etc.

I need to install a set of these, I check mine regularly, but after a few days on the track my car was over heating dramatically. It is a good idea to check these regularly.

Who sells those grills? How are they attached? Did you have to remove the bumper?

How do you figure those ended up there? Certainly foul play.

He has them, just send him an email. He gave me quote on a set for my OEM C2S bumper last week.

There are pluses and minus with adding grills. They will prevent large stuff from getting in but not little stuff and it will be much tougher to remove the little stuff with the grills installed, without removing the bumper.

I have to agree with your comment because I have seen small stuff getting in. I was more concerned about a rock or other projectile that may puncture the radiators and leave me stranded. I guess whenever I see enough small stuff inside, I'll remove the bumper to do a thorough cleaning.
