Creaking sound

My car makes weird creaking sounds whenever it isn't flat, for example if I go over some speed bumps or when I come off of an incline sideways, is this normal or do I have a loose suspension component?

Do you have any aftermarket suspension parts?

Mine will do it from time to time, and it is just the sway bars I am told.

you may want to see if the sway bar bolts are tight. If they are, then it must be your fancy LED lights!

My car does this as well and I'd guess this is normal.

It is just the chassis flexing and parts of the component in the car like dash or windows moving ever so slightly. I have an inclined driveway and I hear it everytime I pull in.

It's your sunroof making the noise. Try opening it all the way and I bet the noise will stop. I have tried lubricating it but the noise always returns. You can also close the sunroof and push on it from outside the car. You will hear the noise.

i hear the same noise when i go in the driveway too. it is louder when it is cold out. i've just assumed it's a function of a stiff chassis.

I have the noise also in my 08 997S coupe, and had it in my 07 as well. I don't attribute it to a stiff chassis. Normally sounds like this come from a chassis that flexes too much. I am not too happy about it. None of my previous e46 M3s made this sound when going over the same driveways, nor does my wife's MDX. Heck, our company Taurus's don't even creak over the same uneven surfaces.

Tell them that it is a stock set up, the might replace your engine with a DFI version too.

It's the sunroof. I've been around this tree before. When you are outside the car with the sunroof closed. Push down on it in several places. You will hear the noise.

Mine creaks. This is normal and it's from the rubber joint around the windshield that squeaks against the body.

Read here for a fix.

This sounds more like a chassis flex or suspension squeaking. Also, it doesnt make the sounds on any uneven sefice, it has to be very uneven, like there is a gas station I go to where the road comes up on the side like an extra foot, that it what causes it.

If it is only in certain situations, I wouldn't worry about it at all. You may want to mention it to the dealer when you are there next time.
