I probably have to get out of my car 5 times a week to close the stupid trunk.

No issues at all with my '10 key. I think the '09s have no problem either.

Weird. I've never had this happen on my '08. Maybe a problem with earlier years.

The title of the thread is: "I probably have to get out of my car 5 times a week to close the stupid trunk." It implies that you are inside the car and you are forced to get out to close the hood... Where is your key when you are inside the car? Is it not in the ignition !?!

When inside the car the key's place is the ignition and I do not see how it can then accidentally open the hood.

I had the same problem with the trunk opening by accident. Shortly after buying the car in 2006, I took apart the key and filed off ~ 1mm on the post that activates the trunk sensor in the key. Now the trunk button has further to travel before activation. I can't remember the last time trunk was opened by accident. I did this before I knew that the Dealer could have reprogram the key. I'ts been almost 4 years, the key works fine and no more trunk problems.

My trunk was doing it too...dealer replaced the key, and the issue went away...unfortunately, i don't know if it was because it was reprogrammed (new fob)...or if it was the dag button.

it doesn't take much imagination to figure out that he gets notice of it once he sits in the car and starts it...and then has to get out and deal with it.

Dealer can increase the delay time on the key for this function with the PIWIS.

Same here.

It nice on the GT3 because it enables the right sided mirror dip for reverse parking.
