That's a tough call- is this going to be your daily driver? If you have a wife and kids, and it's your DD, would probably go with the 911. If it's a 2nd (or 3rd) car, the Cayman's a great drive too. I drove a new loaded '08 Cayman S extensively before deciding on the (used) '07 911S- in part because i had a tough time justifying paying about the same $$$ for the Cayman as for a 911. The 911 was just *more* car!

 

I think its a no brainer, but if your still hesitant one thing you could ask about is to be put in touch with the original owner. It sounds like you've got the connections to do it, and it would probably put a lot of concerns to rest.

 

911 hands down! 2007 for 45K is a great deal.
