I would vote for an M3 convertible for a DD. Hardtop is very quiet, DCT is very drivable in automatic mode and with 18' wheels it can handle city driving.

You already have the fun and thrills more than covered with that beautiful Gallardo, so assuming you can make the space work for you I'd go with the Aston. For me it's hands down the best looking of the cars on your list, its performance is more than adequate and it has a truly wonderful exhaust note and road presence.

I'd go with the CLS.

One super-luxury car, one super-sports car.

Since you already have a G for weekends... I'd go with a car that's a little easier to live with, but still powerful, fun and exclusive.

I'd go with a MB CLS-55 or the MB C63.

Thanks for the great responses. I made the mistake a few days back of taking a test drive in the Nissan GT-R ....... the car is pretty darn impressive and I talked to a guy there who was daily driving his. He had put 10k on it driving the past 7-8 months. I think I'm still leaning towards the 05 Porsche TT I came across a few days ago as well. Will the TT be a nice DD?

Not trying to be funny but you are asking what will be a nice DD. IMO the Turbo 996 Convertible is very similar to your weekend car. If you're looking for a cheaper version of your weekend car - go for it. However, its not luxurious, quite or comfortable. You really cant speak on the cell phone unless your driving slow etc.

If you're looking for a DD sports car thats less flashy get a C4S or C2S coupe. For $60K thats a 2006-2008 depending on condition miles etc. I personally think the 997.1 is fine for a DD. Much better than a 996 TT vert. I DD my 997.2 C2S - no problem at all.

If you want a sedan/sports sedan thats a whole different story - M3 or Audi S5 would be my choices. Good luck.

my vote would be for the cls55... gives you a proper fast 4dr sedan when you need it...

I'm not a fan of the 6 series at all. I do like the looks of the CLS, though. Just my .02.

I would go for the option of space - an M5 or M3 sedan. A turbo cab is only marginally more practical than G. Or get the AMG sedan. You can't get me to buy a MB, though. Just too cushy.

+1. That car has never done anything for me. Big, but with limited room and too heavy to be a sports car. It's a tweener in many respects. And an unsightly one at that. I'm sure the engine/transmission is impressive, but I just don't get it.
BTW, a GT-R as a DD seems like a great idea to me. I was at a C&C gathering today, and 5 of them showed up. I took a good look at them and for a DD, they seem perfect as long as you don't need 4 doors.
