Winter is bad for many reasons

Ok so we got our 1st snow storm here in the NE. I was driving to work this am and was like here we go for the next 4 months VOMITTT.

So lets see NO GOLF...NO BEACH..and the P Car comes out once in a great while. So winter sux basically. Ohhh and ive gone mod crazy and have been on this forum like Tiger Woods with different women .

I actually luv this forum....lets see picked up some Porsche OEM Valve stems from Suncoast just now not bad at all..oohhh bought a 997 Turbo Shift **** from them as well ehhh little more...just got a sweet set of 20" Rinspeeds from a fellow member here and getting EVOMSit ECU Tune Monday. I see alot of new guys on here... BEWARE modding especially during the winter can be hazardous to your pocket

Did you get your fourth wheel today?

I haven't driven my car in a week, it is dry, but below freezing most of the day.

Pansies. (No thats not the word I wanted to use, but know the first choice will just get edited out). Its been sub-30 all week on the drive to and from work.. dry and friggen friggid.. .and I've had the Targa 4 out in it every single day enjoying the bajezus out of my heated seats. If only the damn heated wheel had been an option for the 6spds in 2009 (... grumble...)

My wife and I are buying a place in Naples area around Jan. Then I can join the many with 911's in SO. FLA.
I can't wait to make Sebring (SCCA Jan 8th-10th) National and all the local P-club events there.

I think I'll drive mine skiing today. Two of my favourite fast things, 911s and gravity.

I am with you! Use my 09 everyday and I am loving it! A car this good is wasted as a garage queen.

Same here except mine has pumped up tires (58psi) with no cradles.....I guess I will need to move the car a few inches in a few weeks.

+1 on the winter being dangerous on the pockets. I figured there was no way I'd want to mod anything like exhaust that could get salted up during a $%!& Boston winter, but then the interior was all like "hey, I won't get dirty...you should change me, it'll be awesome." Serves me right for getting a car with more personality than my last girlfriend....

Try this as a solution

Put some snows on and drive it all winter. That will cut down on the mod spending

Seriously, I am driving my 09' C2 through the winter on Conti winter tires. We had our first snow yesterday and in 3-4 inches of wet snow w/freezing rain, it did much better than my previous 550 BMW on snows with 200 lbs. of sand in the trunk!

On the mods topic. Was going to get Softronic on sale in Nov. but then realized I won't be able to really appreciate more juice until the Pilot sports go back on...

Happy Winter,
DRP

I hear you on modding in winter.. it is evil! Whats worse is modding, then re-modding a season later. I have freinds with 996 turbos that have spent the equivalent of 2 cars on one.
