LOL --I just got home from swimming. It's usually warm year round but today was almost like summer temps . 88 degrees is about 8 degrees higher than usual for December . One of my favorite drives is actually out to the beaches where driving is combined with the ocean breeze .

I was actually thinking more like a retreat . Even I would go . For instance Miami , Ft Lauderdale , Boca has all the beach and nighlife wheras I live in a residential (boring) part of town . There also is the west coast of Florida (Sanibel and Captiva Island) which is beautiful for a family vacation where one can rent waverunners and see dolphins swimming in the wild or have golf, tennis, parasailing, fishing, swimming, all at one main resort with full amenties right on the water . There's a lot to do here .

The best month here is usually April in terms of weather . Even though today was real nice I have seen December -February be somewhat hit or miss . What happens is that a cold snap can occur for two or three days and out goes all the beach ideas . By cold I mean 40's at night and 60's in the day . April usually has less rain than other months and solid 85 and sunny consistant --plus no hurricane risk.

As cool as this is it's even more awesome on a waverunner .
Naples has beaches similar to Captiva --it's very near. Beautiful west coast sunsets too.

I think I can top that:
Here in Australia, it's 27 degrees (80F) with medium humidity and a cool breeze. Since a base 997.2 costs something like $215,000 USD (at historically low USD strength!) in Australia, I see maybe one 911 a week on the roads. Makes me feel SPECIAL :P
And with that note, after finishing this post, i'm going to f&ck off from work and have a nice drive home to Maroubra (in Sydney) which is next to some of Australia's finest beaches. Bondi Beach is just up the road, too.
Am I feeling the love? No... It sucks that we get ripped here for taxes.

It's been very nice here, high to mid 60's at night low 80's during the day. A "cold" day is when it does not break 80.
The Honolulu Marathon is Sunday and they should have a very good day; 60's at the start of the race at 5:00 am.

I absolutely cannot imagine having a Porsche that I had to park for 4 months of the winter.....that really blows (no pun intended). Anyway, I also live in beautiful south florida....weather today....drum roll please.....75 booyah!

Wow! Thats true, you got us there. I would love to have something remotely close to this in South FLA.

The closest thing I've seen to a turn like that since moving to South Florida is a few on-ramps to I95. There's been times when I've gone out and gotten on and off the highway 2 or 3 times in a row just to take the ramps and remember what it's like to turn.

Thats great! I need to start doing that!
