Cayman S 2009 is infamous around these parts
Anyone experience this?

This morning I pressed the spoiler button to see how it goes up and down. But when the car slows down, the spoiler didn't retract itself. So I pressed the button again, then the engine room cover loose up with a warning signal from the dash monitor. Anyone?

Nice color combo!

Try opening and closing the engine cover? Then maybe driving to 80 mph or so to automatically activate the spoiler?

On a 996 if yu open the spoiler manually you have to close it manually before it will close again manually. Probably the same with a 997.

When you activate it manually it doesn't retract itself when you slow down. I have known my spoiler to be up for more than a day But when you start up the car the next time and exceed the speed limit to open the spoiler (I forgot how fast it was...) it retracts itself automatically.

I don't know about the light/warning on the dash tho...
