Poor Radio Reception

I am sure my window antenna is hooked up. But why does the reception stink for FM radio stations? Sort of oscillates in an out. Anyone know of a way to fix and/or boost the reception without replacing the radio nor putting a giant CB antenna on the back of the car?
thanks in advance,
Marc

Unless Porsche has made some major changes in the past two years the reception is going to be rotten: had mine looked at twice and the dealers said "normal". There are some really good sound guys on this forum so you ought to get some decent advice.

I have not done it on my P-car but in the past I've used some cheap boosters that were exceptional. See - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-WrH2lIU...Amplifier.html or http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=629
