We are not talking about the engine cooling system.

CrossingGuard is infamous around these parts
The advatange to the VFE charge cooling system is just that! It is closed loop and has no other duty than to cool the SC air coming off the blower. There is even an upgrade kit that VF is working on that will bring more fresh air into the intake and relocate the IAT sensor to make the whole system better.

This guy Steve at VFE told my buddy about this when he was buying a new filter and belt.

ACTUALLY, Vortech just put thier name on it. It is made by a larger company that specialize in intercoolers. Just a heads up!

None the less, it is a very nice system!

The aftercooler system is from Vortech.

Obviously. Vortech is not a manufacturer. Just like Porsche does not make any of the parts in their cars. My point is, the VF system is a collection of parts that can be purchased elsewhere with the exception of some custom tubies and bracket.

Sure. If that makes you feel better. There are companies out there that will sell you a bracket, I am sure that you know a tubing bender and maybe a knuckle head with a laptop that will "tune" your $90K Porsche for $1000.

The VFE kit is homogenius and works well.
I read a post that said there are 300-400 VFE Porsche kits sold.

I also met this guy in bakersfield who was running the nuts off of his 997: http://www.youtube.com/user/RonDeKil.../6/LRU3_l707bc

As a matter of fact, I had my tuning done by someone other than VF. And there are no components in their system that would require tubes to be bent. I am not knocking their system, as I was the first 99 C2 Porsche to ever run the system, but just pointing out that the cooling system you were raving about is in probably 5,000 other cars beside the Porsche and is not VF's design as you alluded to..

You are angry man. On almost every post that you have ever made, you are bitter and pissed at the world. I suggest that you take a chill pill and relax. You do not have to prove anything to me or the rest of this board.

I have to agree that they built a decent kit and can be modified to perform.....my only complaint is,unless modified it only makes 4 PSI of boost(when measuring after the throttle body) and the charger seems to hit the decklid under hard acceleration.......

I have seen 2 kits now. 1 on a 996 and the red 997. They were both making 5.5-6psi at redline and huge power. Maybe you got a second hand kit?

What would a second hand kit have to do with it...?
Are you thinking the compressor is worn out?
I hope it is not, especially since they do not have a lot of miles on them!
Upon searching for 'WHY' I was only making 4 psi and countless dollars of searching for the problem....I finally found the truth from a VERY great source THAT 4PSI is all that the 3.8" pulley makes...and that is the pulley for the 3.8 L.
Maybe I am measuring the boost in the wrong spot....'Right behind the throttle body'...?

Why are you assuming I am a MAN? Aren't there any angry woman?

I am already heavily medicated, my frontal lobe has be removed and I consume large volumes of alcohol daily. Nothing seems to work. My only comfort comes from calling a spade a spade.

Some people are just sooo easy to push over the edge. Gotta love it.
