Fabspeed 200 cell cats

I just installed Fabspeed 200 cell x cats. In first gear rolling at 1000 rpm there is a hesitation. Anybody expanse this when installing high flow cats?

If you didn't....try and disconnect your battery for a few mins.It will reset the ECU and correct the problem!

Yes, I experience this after having installed AWE 200 cell cats. I however also installed headers and the X51 airbox at the same time so I was not sure what was causing the slight delay. Mine almost gives the feeling of turbo lag right at the beginning of getting on the throttle.

I have learned to live with it since I have never thrown the CEL.

I have headers X51 airbox and fabspeed mufflers before the 200 cell cats. the car ran great. Only after the cats it hesates. If that is the way it is from the cats they will be in the dumpster by the weekend.

If you have hesitation I bet everything you lost a lot of power too. Need to have the car tuned on a dyno to work properly with the changed exhaust, just buying a flash won't do it.

I am not sure if it's from the cats themselves (doubt it) or combination thereof (more likely). I installed all of the items myself and if I remember correctly, I had the cats and headers in before the X51 box and didn't seem to notice the lag. However, as soon as I installed the airbox I experienced the slight lag / hesitation.

I would follow Stacy's advice and disconnect the battery. I have yet to do this to see if it solves the problem.

Have you performed ECU reset as it was described?

I did not think a cat install would require a ECU reset. I will try this tomorrow.

Cats

Please update the site when you reset the ECU. I would like to hear if it helped the issue.

Disconnected the neg. battery terminal for a couple of hours. My hesitation seems to be gone. I did only drive the car for a short distance, but I am pretty sure it is resolved.

Yep, good. Was exactly same for me and many else here - you install 200 cell cats and immediately feel that car goes 'slower' and something is not right. ECU reset usually fixes it.
