TUV finds 911 most reliable car of all

Not entirely surprising, but the 911 was just declared most reliable car by the German TUV - Technischer Ueberwachungs Verein; the government agency that inspects cars once a year to make sure they are safe and in working condition (every year every car in Germany is checked).

Thus for all you new buyers out there who are wondering about reliability, here you go: http://www.focus.de/auto/news/tuev-r...id_463955.html

i had zero issues with my 08 911 c2s.
i had coils, nav, front left corner lights replace on my 05 cayenne s within 25k miles and let's not talk about tires. Overall, very satisfying car and probably IMHO best brand of car out there. Quality, handling, cost of ownership.

For near-exotic sports-car performance there is no comparison. Porsches are very rugged.

That being said...I've had a handful of Porsches over the years.....and they've all been in the shop way more than our Lexus and Acuras.

Surely compared to exotics and high-end euro-mobiles, Porsche's are fantastic. But my Prius, Lexus SC and LX are like auto-appliances. And much like toasters, microwaves and blenders they are amazingly reliable and have the same level of emotional involvement.

Completely agree, our Scion, and Lexus LX are exactly as you describe! My Porsche is not without problems, but it's only had a few problems in the 4 years i've owned it.
