For my 13th anniversary, my wife just gave me a trip for the 2 day performance class, including tuition, hotel and flight.

Courses didn't fit into my schedule early in the year, but I'm scheduled for May 11-12.

I've never done a DE day. Can't wait for the course!

So what about PDE vs Bondurant or Barber racing schools? How do they compare?

PDE, is NOT a racing school like the others are. PDE will get you a sound foundation for the basics of high performance driving.

Does anyone know if they have PDK equipped cars in their inventory? I want to go, however, since my car has the PDK transmission, it wouldn’t' make much sense for me to spend two days learning the intricacies of a 6-speed car.

Did the Masters Class back n March and you can drive PDK all day long. The AutoX Boxster S is also PDK. No problems

Only bad thing is the PDK cars do not have Sport Chrono so either in manual or auto mode PDK is lazy compared to my car with Sport Plus mode. However the level of instruction you get and the track well will make up for it especially if this is your 1st time.

I've not done any of the Porsche schools in the USA, but have done two in Germany - the Precision and the Performance courses at the Porsche test track in Leipzig. Absolutely first class all the way. My wife has done the Women's only Precision course at Baden Baden, Germany - was equally first class! They always have an "English language" group although we've been the only Americans in our classes. Lots of Brits and folks from all over the world. Am going to the Salzburgring in Austria with Porsche in July and then the Nuerburgring and F1 track with Porsche in October. Am really looking forward to both of these events! Will be really great to get some "Ring" time without all the "tourist drivers" on the track!!

TWO day performance course

I just received this as a 10 year anniversary gift from my wife. Didn't even tell her about it, she found it on her own. I was really surprised! Going in the fall can't wait!

I just came back recently from attending the masters class. It was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. I was expecting more track time with one on one instruction. From what I was told, that is the next level and another $4k All in all, it was really fun. I think it is geared towards people that down own Porsches or do any track time. If I was in that demographic I would have probably been over the moon with the course. The skid pad and autocross stuff was a little lame. So was the heel/toe instruction section. The whole package was first rate though. As luck would have it, the Ross Bridge was sold out and we ended up staying at the hotel they used to use. I can't remember the name of it off hand. I think it's a better venue and as a bonus, it was much closer to the track and there was way more stuff around it to do.

Would I do it again? Maybe. I am intrigued enough at this point to check out the 3 day class now though.
