Has anyone been to a NASA event?

I'd love to have 1/100th of their skills. I like watching the Euro-rally events on cable...but I'd love to learn to drive like this. RWD rally seems insane!

Rally is an insane thing but, well, I bet you got to have more than average skills prior to starting flying like a jet through the forest.

The red 996 sounds like a pure animal in the woods. I swear, you can hear this thing howling for about 4-5 seconds before you see it emerge.
I'm putting their driving skills on my christmas wish list.

I'm sold on Devens. See you there next year.
Learning to properly rally drive will have to wait....but I'm moving it up my bucket list ranking. I've done a number of country roads (summer & winter) as well as some ice-driving in a beater AWD subaru. It was fun, but I didn't really press the car like these guys are.

Those are really awesome videos. I had to watch the second 9:30 one as well. THanks so much for the link. These really illustrate what I think I've figured out with the 911 - hard into the turn, very hard on the brakes, then once the front end is hooked in, full gas and the tail hooks itself in or power oversteers. Did anyone notice how much negative camber they have on the front wheels? With very limited negative camber on the rears. I guess that keeps the understeer in check.
Love that echo of the cars when they are out of view, really cool.

The Weissach engineers are smiling!
The cars are built to do this! It amazes me how many folks drive their cars with fear of them falling apart. Go to the PSDS and see what they put the cars through, and all the ever need are new breaks, tires, and oil.
BTW, the orange car does't appear to be a GT3- what is it?
