When I take my car in for service it looks like its next stop is a car show. My thinking (flawed?) is- it will get better care. From the initial intake person to the techs who do the work; I figure they will see a special car and make sure they do a special job-leaving no finger prints on the hood or doors, wiping up any fluids etc. (I know, they should do this anyway)
Think there is anything to this-or is it just an excuse for me to detail the car?

I think you will get good service from an place that you have a good relationship with, regardless if your car is clean or not. If your car is show car ready when you tkae it in...and the tech get smudges on the door. Do you think they are going to detail that door or are they going to wipe it down with a shop towel?

 

definitely agree, car show clean is the way to go. it sends the right message...
