I have the SB on my 997TT. The biggest benefit I feel is that the overboost functions comes on quicker and more frequently.

So, for the 997TT with Sport Chrono, in a way, the SB does help the car make "more " power as you are more often in overboost than not when your are driving more aggressively.

Worth doing IMO.

I also have it on my Mercedes R63, and it too made a big difference. The car is more responsive and that throttle delay is greatly reduced especially in red "race" mode.

Anyone try this on a 997 turbo?

Is this permanete upgrade? "Highlights included snapping off the grey release tab"

I don't drive mine much, "noticed the green/red light is always powered. Another drain on Batt." is this a good idea for weekend vehicles?

Thumbs up Grey tab

OK, take a pair of pliers / small Channel-locks and pad jaws with a little duct tape; squeeze gently (!) and progressively on grey tab until it releases.

IF it does break off (and it may), no worries; take two short zip ties and criss cross these around both male and female ends and pull tight.

Hi, sorry to say I have not. Liking it too much as is and haven't feel the need to add one (although mine does have a Kold-Fire tune so YMMV w/ an Elise w/ a stock ECU). Please post your impressions if you end up getting one!

Is this the sprint booster V1? I see later versions are bulkier like this:

I have been using it for 1 month on the 997 s almost always in green sport mode at 5/9 and it is often too sensitive when starting off.Among other things I think that when it is off it is as if the car is even slower in responding to the throttle than before without the sprint booster. What settings are you using it with?
