As an early Christmas present, I received an Evolution Motorsports cold air intake for my 997 through Rennsport-One. The quality of the product was what I would expect having heard many good things about Evolution Motorsports. The install was straight forward.

The CAI adds some additional aucoustics to compliment my Cargraphics (Loud / export version) mufflers. It helps to make the exhaust volume a bit more pronounced when you get on it. I'm very happy with the results. And as a plus the unit looks cool.

On a separate note, I wrote a review of my Cargraphics exhaust (loud / export version) a few months ago. Now that I have a couple of months and a couple hundred miles on it I have to say it is an awesome exhaust. The sounds is very nice when you get on it and when you're just cruising it retains the mechanical sound that porsches are known for. There is no drone at any RPM (under load or not).

I don't have a sound clip of the exhaust and the CAI, but it sounds very similar just about 5-10% louder.

 

Your stock headers and catalytic converters should be replaced with better parts. Half of the muffling is in the very restrictive cats and the OEM headers are somewhat crude. Hundreds of posts concerning these issues.
