one other factor is that my wife would prefer the DD to be an auto. in a pinch, she can drive it which has been helpful. that's why i figured the gtr would be a good fit...but funny to think of it as your DD and the s2k as the weekend car! if i did go GTR, i'd probably just sell the s2k.

yrralis - point taken, i'll drive the turbo before doing anything.
Your best deal on a Turbo would be on a used Tiptronic . It's not a transmission that I would want for myself but it does :1) have a liitle sapce for your daughter ,2) has auto for your wife, and 3) can even be moded with an EVT700 for you . Plus the entry fee to buy one might even bring you into the high 70's low 80's. Most want the PDK cars but a modded Turbo Tip is a monster .

Excellent point, Larry. Before buying my first 911, I made it a point to speak to the folks in the service area. I was, and remain, more impressed with the Porsche service folks than the sales folks. Hence, why I'd consider a GTR. However, the more I know about Nissan, and the GTR specifically, the less I care. It's becoming a so-what to me. And you can see, too, that Nissan is moving away from that platform- they've clearly got to faith in it. Too bad.
