Adding NAV Module to PCM

Has anyone added a NAV Module to their PCM?

I am researching this for a 09 C2 CAB, the PCM does not include the factory NAV module.

Is it worth doing (not sure of the cost)?

I think the cost is like $4,000 to replace what you have with the PCM 3.0 with Nav. Suncoast sells this kit (which includes an 6-CD changer) for $3,995.

I would just get a $200 GPS and learn to live with it.

You can't add navigation, in the current design it's built into the PCM. You can spend $4000 and get a new PCM from a place like Suncoast, but I'd also check with your dealer to be sure they can activate it and how much it will cost to install. I understand there's a "new" PCM w/ Nav on eBay right now for something like $2400?

I was hoping the NAV module was just a few hundred bucks and could be added to the existing PCM head unit. Oh well.

If NAV was really important to me, I would have bought the 997 with the PCM w/NAV initially (as a factory option).

I just got this 09 C2S this week and got $20K off - so I took it without the NAV.

Well, the next task is to get a hidden radar/laser system installed.

I am just soooooo glad to back in the P-car game!!!! (been Porsche-less for about 3 years). The Porsche forums/family are unbeatable!!

Thanks

I guess I need to see what my PCM w/o Nav would sell for.
