PDK Transmission fault / error !!!
#16
Was there any error message in the dash?
I do not remember the exact wording of mine, but is something like this "Transmission error lock".
At least your event is not as scary as mine (the 1st time) - WOT in 1st .
Hopefully they fine out what caused yours and "fix" it so it never happens again.

I don't recall - something like Transmission system error.

FWIW
I was told by my Tech that shifting the car from reverse into neutral, and hesitating, instead of directly into drive can cause a glitch in computer.
This may be a software problem, They know about.
Turning key off and then restarting reboots.
Didn't address this happening while on the road.

Seems like Porsche has some work to do on these gearboxes to work out some of the bugs. Surprising, but not completely unexpected. New technology tends to need a couple of revisions, I just hope that it does not end up reminding me of a microsoft product at the end of the day. Sorry to hear about this, and I hope that they are able to resolve it quickly for you.

I have driven my car in every mode and never experienced what you have . I did hit the rev limiter one time in manual mode but even then the car does not over rev . It simply goes into is fuel cutoff suspended state until that upshift is made.
I have no idea why your car is doing this . Keep us posted and good luck.

That is the kind of news I did NOT want to hear.
Sorry about your experience so far... don't know what else to say.
BTW - I believe my error was the same (i just could not remember the exact wording).
Do you mind sharing where/what dealer you are working with?

Inquiring minds want to know if the Subaru Forester got you home nice and safe. And did you try any WOT launches in that AWD beast?
In all seriousness, the issues you mention do not sound good. Hopefully its a quick fix and not the entire transmission that needs to be replaced.

I had the "Transmission Emergency Run" in my early build C4S PDK coupe early last year. Dealer kept the car for about a week working with PCNA techs in Atlanta to diagnose. DME/DFI control module was replaced to correct miscommunication issue, and I've never had the issue again. Others have also reported this issue being due to low battery -- not sure about that one. I was able to immediately restart and take the car in when it happened to me, so no big deal. Just a part of being an early adopter I guess. Good luck.

Even though I just got this C2S a couple of week ago, it sounds like it could be an "earlier" build. Sitting on the dealer for as while.
Both times, the fault reset/rebooted once I restarted also.
Hopefully I will know more tomorrow.

Yep. If you have an aqua blue cab off the lot, it most likely was a launch car from early last fall. My car was built just shortly after the launch cars, so yours would be a very early build. Make sure they follow up on the DME/DFI control module, and you'll be fine.
