PCM Nav Unit Install

Here is the link to the install from Planet - 9 http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/show...oduct=99&cat=5 and the parts list from RennTech.org Forums http://www.renntech.org/forums/lofiv...hp/t24838.html. Hope this helps.

Can this be done to retrofit the updated touch nav screen to work on a 991.1?

According to some sellers on eBay, yes. But I wouldn't purchase a PCM 3 just yet. Try to find someone that effectively did that. It is probably going to be hard given it's a fairly new equipment. Furthermore, it doesn't seem to be "plug and play", there are a couple of adaptations to it.

Perhaps people can chime in or in other foruns you might find someone that did it.

I was told pretty definitive that 997.2 PCM 3 cannot be coupled with electronics in 997.1 and internally PCM 3 has nothing in common with PCM 2.1.
