How long will you keep your 911?
#46
After buying/selling/trading about 15 BMW's and Porsches over the past 8 years including two M3's an '05 Boxster S and two other Carreras, I hope my current '09 C2S will be handed down to one of my daughters when they are good enough drivers.......which will be about the time I'm too old to drive.
I hope to add a low mileage 993 to the stable at some point or maybe a 2010 Cayman S once they start turning up used for reasonable money.
I love my 997.2, but miss the mid-engine dynamics of my '05 Boxster S sometimes......don't miss the ragtop or the lack of power really......so a Cayman S might be a fun addition.
Still always enamored with the 993 though. Just closing the door on one of those is a treat. Such a wonderful sound and feeling of solidity.
Decisions, decision.......

LOL. I'll let you know if he ever manipulates me......? How many seasons is a 430 worth? I'll let him know!

Um, he owns a 430, sounds like you've already been tricked.
#52
My oh my. Do you think that's the only way people get to buy nice things once they marry? That's just... sad.

Thanks for your reply. Sorry but I'll have to pass on the 430. I was kind of hoping your husband's name was Tommy and that he is a well-known fashion designer. I know that guy has an Enzo. I would have also gone for a F40 which in my not-so-humble opinion is the most beautiful Ferrari of all time.
I've been taking care of pools for almost 30 years now. My own pools that is, not for others. I'm totally sick of them. I haven't even uncovered my pool in the last 4 seasons and I'll probably be moving in the next 18 months. It will be up to the next owner to sort out that mess or better yet just fill it in. I'm too busy taking care of my Porsche to worry about the pool any more.

Don't mind that if funeral home allows...strap my right foot onto the gas pedal and right hand on the stick.

Not at all. I even left the brochure on the table.
The only thing I was tricked about on his new car, was how @#$ uncomfortable it is to ride in as a passenger. OMG, it is hor-rrrrrible- it requires a sports bra and ear plugs.

No intention of selling it
I'll rack 15-20k on the clock and then retire it to the stable and buy another exotic, maybe a 993, maybe a Ferrari, maybe an Aston, I dunno.
But the 996 Turbo S Cab stays.

That's why I didn't even bother looking at them this time. We needed a daily driver. Now if Cindy starts equipping herself with either item, I'll know it's time to sell the 911, start shopping for a Lexus, and just admit we're old.[sigh]
