Price help on 2007 Carrera S Cab left over?
A dealer has a 2007 Carrera S Cab left over, list price $104k, grand prix white, black hood, black interior, 100 miles. Options: sport chrono, upgraded sound system, 19 wheels, heated seats. He will cpo the car. What is a good price please?
Many thanks in advance.

- start with the sticker, then calculate approx. 20% reduction for each year. That's about the depreciation it has gone through. Walk out having paid more than that, and you'll simply throw that money away.
- consider that this car has been sitting for 3 years. That's not good on any mechanical device.
- also figure, if there is something about the car's color, etc., which has meant that no one has wanted to buy it so far....not since 2007....you may end up with a car that is very hard to sell later.
It would be hard to make this a good purchase.

White with black hood - do you mean a black vinyl overlay?
What does the dealer mean "he wil CPO the car" ? If it's new it has the full 4 year factory warranty, so sounds as if it were already put in service and hence a 'used car'.
Something fishy here; even if all is okay maybe $65-68K?

They will never sell the car for under invoice. In fact the 07 c2s cars in general are the ones holding value strong . I would also be very apprehensive about an 07 leftover since it is now 2010 and a lot of people said no to the car. There must be a reason. Keep looking.

Its a convertible so white body, black hood, black interior. The warranty was punched back in 2007 so it will expire in 2011, hence the reason to get it cpo'd to get another 2 years. Seems like a lot of 2007/08 cars that are on dealer lots have had their warranties started...
Are you British by any chance? A British person will refer to a car's top as the "hood" and the place where the engine lives is usally called the "bonnet".
I personally think the British have some cool expressions when it comes to cars. The front fenders are called "wings" and when a car is in good condition they say, "it's a minter" or "it's in good nick" - LOL
Now let's go motoring!

Tough question- there's a NEW 2009 C2S Cab Blk/Blk at our local dealership (as of last week) with a sticker of $109K, now offered at $89K- so for a unused but "punched" '07, it's hard to see paying more than $65-70K for the car even with the CPO-

What he said - but I think I'd rather have an 07 with some miles. A car thats been sitting for 3 years may be problematic. Even with warranties, you may have to "deal" with it.

Do you think they will keep it in their inventory for ever? That car will sell way under invoice at some point.

its 3 years old already!!!! Cmon they should be giving it away. Do your research! You can get an 09 base cab, and it has the same power as the 07s. You can upgrade to sport wheels, nav, seats, bose, and still come in for under 100k. I got my 09 at invoice. Do you need forum people to do your negotiations too?
