Your car is a 997.1 . I thought you had sport classic wheels BTW.
Either way the Carrera S II wheel was launched with the 997.2 so in my opinion placing it on a 997.1 is somewhat of a mis match . Anyone who knows the car would notice it instantly wheras a sport design is sold with either car.

Part of what kept the Carrera S II wheels on my car was the novelty of a new wheel on a refreshed car. I even feel a lot of the wheel companies became very comfortable with idea of NOT creating newer styles that caught my interest enough to bite . So I'll keep the 5 grand . I am sure i will get bored of the SII wheels eventually --but for now the price is right.

I have Sport Design Wheels in Black, Carrera Classics in Silver, and Volk TE37 Wheels in Matte Black (for the track).

I am pondering getting another set of 18" track wheels, to carry an extra set of wheels and tires (just in case I wear a set out), but I am not sure I want to have another set in the shed. So far I have 12 wheels (4 for my wife's car) and 6 unmounted tires in the shed. Why are you selling some

I would go with the Carrera S II wheels. They are new and very popular right now. The sport design wheels have been around for a long time. If you really like them you can pick up a used set cheap. I also like the carrera sport wheel. Not sure if thats a option? I tried getting those included when I bought my car. No luck.

I rememberreading the Sport Design wheels are one of the heaviest factory wheels, so I would suggest getting the new S wheels
