Most entertaining 997s test drive I ever saw on youtube.

Just learned from the news tonight that the test driver was arrested by the police today with misdemeanor charges based on their test drive videos. That is the reason why their videos was pulled out.

This should serve as a lesson to people that post their antics to youtube -- thinking that they need to be caught "real-time" to get into trouble. I would never post anything that I wouldn't do right in front of the boys in blue.

Lesson learned.
No faces, no talk about speed and no mention of what jurisdiction you are having your fun runs.
Amazing how a person can self incriminate themselve.
Kind of a stupid criminal scenario.
Didn't seem like the dealer manager was too upset about this since there was no accident or damages.
I am on the fence with this scenario and glad its only a misdemeanor and no one was fired.

No one will condone the type of driving they did and perhaps the humor woild be better suited for a comdian act on a stage without real cars on public roads.
How many videos did they post ? Originally I was simply looking for a PDK demonstation as many on the 997 Turbo forum have questions on the new gearbox with the Turbo cars . I got so entertained laughig at "omg" that I never did find one. When they said "it's a beautiful day , and all is right in the world today" one almost sees a glimpse of their innocence but it's still no excuse for the driving.
So the cops had to do their job and much like an umpire in sports one kinda wonders if it simply might been enough if they handled it differently. St Louis doesn't strike me as much of a Bentley and lamborginia sales region so perhaps boredom set in for those two guys .
So it took multiple videos for the cops to catch them. Why weren't those roads patrolled in the first place? After all they describe the location as being very busy.
I can't imagine placing guys like thse in jail but I also think that if the Porsche tape was just one of many -the cops had to address it.
As for youtube -- I never understaood why people post half the silly things that they do but there are far greater idiots posting driving videos .Just type in "ghostride the whip" and things like this pop up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0P9-WbzhXU
