Cool Drink/Bottle Holder - DIY

Here's a way of adding a drink/holder without drilling. The photos should be self-explanatory. Aluminum could be substituted for the stainless steel.
I added small pieces of weatherstripping on the back of the bolts to prevent any marring of the console. Just slip it behind the console trim and set it plumb onto the carpet. The mat will then hold it in place. PM me if any questions.

Why can't you use the cup holders in the glove box?

Why do we need those? Cars should not be coffee shops/diners on wheels.

That's what I use - they work great for me - bottle of water, or coke, or Thermos of coffee. Gotta stay hydrated...and caffeinated!

Too shallow for a 500ml stainless steel container (don't like using plastic) and sure don't want the possibility of it flying into my face. Not for coffee but for hydration on those northern hot days?

I put these in my 01 Boxster. Just screwed the cup holders into the carpet (in the footwell), but I like your solution a lot more!

Good job!

You're welcome. Just make sure the metal is flat across the mounting area.
