Wsup guys been looking into the A.W.E. exhaust setup, I havnt found any write ups or reveiws on it for the 997.2 .... Anybody have the A.W.E. muffler + cross over pipes? hows the sound, feel any gains? does it sound similar to another exhaust? Any info would be much apreciated. Theyve got a video on their site, but its hard to tell from videos, I purchased my fabspeed side muffler bypass because of a video and it was night and day diffrence (WAY TOOOO LOUD), if anybody with the A.W.E. setup for the 997.2 can chime in, Thanks

 

Not that this answers your question but, what did you do (or were going to do) with your original 997.2 mufflers? (The side secondaries)

 

I have the 997.2 AWE Exhaust. It's perfect for me. ZERO DRONE, quiet at cruise, and nice sound when you put the pedal down. Very satisfied with it.

No I don't notice any extra power. I did it right when it came out months ago along with the cross over pipes. I can say the car now sounds like a Porsche 911. lol

 

I too have the full package. Love it. No drone. The quality is also as good as it gets. I installed myself in about 2 hours. Didnt have to remove wheels or bumper. Soo much better than stock crap.

 

does it have a euro sound like the tubi, pse?

 

lol obviously it sounds Euro, much better then PSE. I haven't heard the tubi to compare.

I get asked this question a lot so I'll try here... If you think of the stock exhaust as a 3/4 out of 10 as far as sound/volume goes a center bypass will usually take it up to a 5/6 out of 10. For most folks that's about PSE-level and enough. This is what it'll sound like:

For a more aggressive sound to take it up to a 8 or so you need to do the side mufflers as well. Here's our set up with a pair of tubi mufflers on the side:

BTW I do have the Sharkwerks center Muffler bypass mixed with the AWE side mufflers.

Power gains are not staggering, but our exhaust will give the car a voice it has been missing.

A core philosophy here is to find exhaust tone and volume that will not overpower you, your passengers, or your neighbors.

However, when you go to wide open throttle, we want the sound to rip a hole in the atomosphere.

This might sound impossible, but it is not. With proper R&D and sound Egnineering you can have your cake and eat it too.

Our mufflers will not overpower you while at a nomal steady state cruise. Meaning no drone. You will be able to speak on a cell or handsfree, and also enjoy the radio. Your neighbors will also not look at you funny when cruising the block, and your passengers will be be able to speak without yelling.
